PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Wesley Matthews scored 31 points, LaMarcus Aldridge had 11 points and 13 rebounds, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the slumping San Antonio Spurs 111-95 last night for their first victory since the All-Star break. Six players scored in double figures for Portland, which ended a two-game skid. Damian Lillard had 18 points and Nicolas Batum added 15.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Norman Powell scored 24 points, Tony Parker added 20 and UCLA led all the way in routing Washington 88-66 last night to end a two-game skid. The Bruins (17-12, 9-7 Pac-12) were coming off getting swept in the Arizona desert last weekend. Andrew Andrews scored 15 of his 18 points in the second half to lead the Huskies (15-12, 4-11).

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Dexter Kernich-Drew scored 19 points, DaVonte Lacy added 17 and Washington State held off a late rally to beat Southern California 70-66 last night. Josh Hawkinson added 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Cougars (12-15, 6-9 Pac-12) to tie the school’s single-season record with 17 double-doubles. It was Washington State’s first road win since Jan. 10.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is going back to Southern California to pick up an honorary degree. The university said that Carroll will be among six recipients of honorary degrees at the May 15 graduation ceremony in Los Angeles.
