SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) – Three children were killed and a woman critically injured when they were hit by a pickup truck late yesterday afternoon in Springfield. Police said they were crossing Main Street when they were hit. The four were in or near a crosswalk near a grocery store. Police said the driver cooperated with investigators and was taken to a police station.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – The seaports of the West Coast went from lagging to bustling over the weekend, a process that is expected to accelerate today in the wake of a tentative deal between employers and dockworkers. At more than two dozen West Coast ports from Washington to California work is mostly back to normal.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) – Authorities have arrested a Klamath County teenager accused of setting fires late last year. The Herald and News reports that 19-year-old Brandon Levi Harris was jailed on charges of arson and burglary. The suspicious fires began shortly after Thanksgiving.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Marc Gasol scored 21 points, and the Memphis Grizzlies overcame a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter for a 98-92 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last night. LaMarcus Aldridge was a late scratch for the Blazers because of a right thumb sprain.
