Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Dillon Brooks scored 11 straight points for Oregon late in the second half and finished with 19 to help the Ducks beat No. 9 Utah 69-58 yesterday. Joseph Young added 14 points and Elgin Cook had 12 for the Ducks. They improved their NCAA tournament chances with their first victory over a Top 10 team since beating then-No. 3 Arizona last year in the regular-season finale.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Andrew Andrews scored a career-high 35 points, including a game-winning 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds left, to lift Washington to an 87-84 triumph over Washington State last night. Nigel Williams-Goss added 20 points and six assists for the Huskies, who snapped a seven-game losing streak. DaVonte Lacy led Washington State with 23 points.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Marc Gasol scored 21 points, and the Memphis Grizzlies overcame a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter for a 98-92 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last night. LaMarcus Aldridge was a late scratch for the Blazers because of a right thumb sprain. It was unclear how the four-time All-Star injured the thumb; he was out warming up with the team before the game.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) – The last musher has crossed the finish line in the 2015 Yukon Quest. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports 48-year-old Rob Cooke of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, claimed the red lantern Friday after the 1,000-mile race. The British-born musher suffered a frost-bitten nose in temperatures that dipped well below minus 40 in the early part of the race.
