PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Brandon Ashley, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Kaleb Tarczewski each scored 17 points as No. 7 Arizona routed Washington State 86-59 last night. T.J. McConnell added 14 points for Arizona, which plays WSU only once this season. The Wildcats led by 34 points after the first half. The Cougars were done in by woeful shooting in the first half.

SEATTLE (AP) – Gerry Blakes scored 23 points, including nine straight late in the second half, and Arizona State won on the road for just the second time this season, beating Washington 78-68 yesterday. Blakes scored 16 of 20 points for Arizona State during one stretch of the second half as the Sun Devils outscored Washington 23-8 over the final 7:45 of the game and won away from home for the first time since routing California on Jan. 22.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Promise Amukamara had 16 points, Katie Hempen scored 13 and No. 12 Arizona State snapped a two-game skid yesterday, beating Oregon 72-52. Hempen was 3 of 6 from 3-point range while Sophie Brunner had eight points and 10 rebounds. Elisha Davis added 10 points for the Sun Devils. The Ducks closed the margin to 13 points and got no closer.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) – Three more teams have withdrawn from the grueling Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports Cody Strathe of Ester and Joar Liefseth Ulsom, who trains in Willow, scratched Saturday at Eagle. Ten teams have scratched and 16 remain.
