Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports:
A furious fourth quarter rally, last night, fell short for the Mapleton Sailors and the Lowell Devils held on for a 60-50 Mountain West basketball win in Mapleton.
It was the final regular season game of the year for the Sailors. They finished in fourth place and will host a league playoff game next week against either Alsea or McKenzie.
The Siuslaw Vikings are on the court at South Umpqua High School this evening. The girls tip off at six; the boys immediately following. The pregame show on Coast Radio Sports is at 5:45.
Wrestlers from southwest Oregon are converging on Coos Bay and Marshfield High School for today and tomorrow’s Far West and Skyline Leagues Regional finals. The top six wrestlers in each weight class will advance to next week’s 4A State Finals in Portland. Finals are set for six pm tomorrow.
The Oregon Ducks are looking to stretch their win streak to five when they take on the Bruins at UCLA tomorrow at noon. The pregame show on KCST is at 11:30.
Oregon State will take on USC at two. KCFM will carry that game live beginning at 1:30.
The college baseball season gets underway today. The Oregon State Beavers are in Surprise, Arizona this weekend for tournament play against Northwestern, Michigan State and New Mexico. Oregon is in the islands for a four-game series against the University of Hawaii.
