LOS ANGELES (AP) – Bryce Alford made five 3-pointers while scoring 22 points, Tony Parker added 15 points and 10 rebounds, and UCLA led all the way in beating Oregon State 75-59 last night. The Bruins improved to 51-7 against the Beavers in games played in Los Angeles, having won 11 in a row. Gary Payton II tied his career high with 24 points and Langston Morris-Walker added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Beavers.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Joseph Young scored 26 points to lead Oregon to an 80-75 win against USC last night. Dillon Brooks and Elgin Cook each scored 15 points as the Ducks never trailed and won their fourth straight. Young scored on a drive to give Oregon a 72-62 lead after USC went on a 5-0 run. Young effectively sealed the season-series sweep with two free throws with 20 seconds remaining.

CHICAGO (AP) – Daniel Sedin scored his second goal at 1:20 of overtime, and the Vancouver Canucks recovered after blowing a late two-goal lead, beating the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 last night. Henrik Sedin made a pass to his brother in the middle of the ice, and Daniel pushed it into the open left side of the net for his 13th of the season.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – The Mount Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park has suspended operations this week because mild temperatures and rain have reduced the snowpack. The Spokesman-Review reports crews are trying to move enough snow to reopen runs this weekend at the park northeast of Spokane near the Idaho border.
