Beavers manufacture comeback win
The Cougars led most of the way last night, but Oregon State went on an eight-nothing run with about 2 ½ minutes remaining in Corvallis for a 55-50 win over Washington State. Jarmal Reid came off the bench to score 20 points for the Beavers who will host Washington Sunday afternoon at 1:30. Airtime on KCFM is at one.
The Oregon Ducks are on the court Sunday as well. They’ll host Ernie Kent and the Washington State Cougars at four… the pregame on KCST is at 3:30.
Prep basketball tonight…
The Mapleton Sailors are in Eddyville for Mountain West action this evening. Siuslaw is at home against the Marshfield Pirates. The girls tip off at six, the boys immediately after. The pregame show on KCST is at 5:45.
On the wrestling mats…
Ricky Huff was the only Viking grappler to come away from a dual meet against North Bend with a win. Huff defeated his opponent at 106 pounds last night in North Bend. He and the rest of the Vikings will be on the mats in Cottage Grove this afternoon and tomorrow for the South Lane Invitational.
