CLEVELAND (AP) – Kyrie Irving scored a career-high 55 points, breaking the arena record while LeBron James watched from the bench and leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to their eighth straight win, 99-94 over the Portland Trail Blazers last night. Irving took over with James sidelined with a sprained right wrist. He buried a 3-pointer with 6.4 seconds left to break a 94-94 tie.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) – Gabe York scored 16 points, Brandon Ashley added 13 and No. 6 Arizona put on an offensive show to dismantle Oregon 90-56 last night. After routing Oregon earlier this season behind its defense, Arizona (19-2, 7-1 Pac-12) ran away from the Ducks a second time with one of its best offensive performances of the season. Stanley Johnson had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Wildcats. T.J. McConnell scored all 10 of his points in the first half and had five assists.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) – Shaquielle McKissic scored 17 points and Arizona State made eight first-half 3-pointers in a 73-55 Pac-12 win last night over Oregon State. Gary Payton II had 23 points to lead the Beavers (14-6, 5-3), who had won three straight and came into the game with the Pac-12’s top-ranked 3-point defense.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) – All-Pros Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman were full participants as the Seattle Seahawks held their first full Super Bowl practice of the week. Seattle’s entire 53-man roster took park in yesterday’s practice at Arizona State University. Thomas dislocated a shoulder in the NFC championship game win over Green Bay and sat out two days of practice last week.
