SALEM, Ore. (AP) – More of the consulting work done by Gov. John Kitzhaber’s fiancée is coming to light. The EO Media Group reports that Cylvia Hayes was paid $118,000 over two years to work with a clean energy organization at the same time she was advising the governor on similar topics. Hayes confirmed the work in an email to the media company.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – The University of Oregon says 22,000 pages of archived documents that were released illegally have been returned. Economics Professor Bill Harbaugh acknowledged that he had them, and had given them back. He says he did no wrong. The university’s Interim President caused a stir last week with a campus email saying that two employees were on leave because the records were released.

MOUNT ANGEL, Ore. (AP) – Oregon State Police say the woman killed in a crash that followed a police chase in the Mount Angel area was a 35-year-old Keizer resident. The Oregonian reports that state police say Rhiannon Steele was riding the back seat when a pickup truck crashed. Mount Angel police say they tried to pull over the pickup but the 17-year-old driver raced off.

ASHLAND, Ore. (AP) – Sideline to sideline, an estimated 600 students and teachers have assembled on the football field at Ashland High School to let a missing classmate know they’re thinking of her and want her back. The 17-year-old girl, Hannah Thomas-Garner, has been missing since Nov. 30. The Ashland Daily Tidings reports that police consider her a runaway.
