CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) – New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft says he expected an apology from the league once his team is found to be not guilty of breaking any rules regarding under-inflated footballs being used in the AFC championship game. SEATTLE (AP) – Outfielders Endy Chavez and Franklin Gutierrez have agreed to minor league contracts with the Seattle Mariners and will report to big league training. Chavez hit .276 with 23 RBIs in 80 games with the Mariners last season. Once a Gold Glove center fielder with Seattle, Gutierrez was limited to 41 games in 2013, when he was slowed by hamstring injuries.

SEATTLE (AP) – Washington has dismissed center Robert Upshaw, the national leader in blocked shots, from its program for a violation of team rules. Washington coach Lorenzo Romar announced the dismissal Monday afternoon. No other details were given by the school.

NEW YORK (AP) – The NBA has postponed home games for both the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets because of a snowstorm expected to batter the area. The Nets were scheduled to face the Portland Trail Blazers. The game was rescheduled for Monday, April 6.
