PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Evan Turner hit a 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds left and the Boston Celtics overcame the shorthanded Portland Trail Blazers 90-89 last night. Avery Bradley had 18 points to lead the Celtics, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Jared Sullinger added 17 points and nine rebounds. Damian Lillard had 21 points and seven assists to lead the Blazers, who have lost five of their last six as they struggle with injuries to their front line.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Kevin Pangos scored 14 points as No. 3 Gonzaga cruised past archrival Saint Mary’s 68-47 last night to take sole possession of first place in the West Coast Conference. Przemek Karnowski added 12 points and Kyle Wiltjer 11 for Gonzaga (19-1, 8-0 West Coast), whose only loss this year is at No. 7 Arizona. This is the best start in program history.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) – Andrew Andrews connected on a straightaway jumper with one second remaining, lifting the Washington Huskies past short-handed Colorado 52-50 last night for their third win in a row. Nigel Williams-Goss had 16 points to lead Washington (14-4, 3-3 Pac-12), which won at Colorado for the first time in its last five games here.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Alec Wintering sank a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Portland to a 72-69 win over Pacific last night. Kevin Bailey led Portland (12-8, 3-5) with 21 points and Thomas van der Mars added 17 points while grabbing eight rebounds.
