KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) – SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Police in Salem, Oregon, say they’ve interviewed a person of interest in a case of suspected anti-freeze poisoning that has killed at least eight cats. Lt. Steve Birr says the first cat began showing signs of poisoning on Friday evening and the most recent fatality happened Monday. An animal hospital in Keizer is performing necropsies on the dead cats. Initial testing on three of them has been positive for the presence of anti-freeze.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – The federal government and two Oregon blueberry producers have settled a dispute over allegations farm workers were paid less than the minimum wage. KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) – PacifiCorp is pushing back against the city of Klamath Falls’ efforts to take over PacifiCorp’s facilities and equipment and form a city-owned utility. The Herald and News reports PacifiCorp filed a lawsuit in federal court in Medford last week claiming the city unilaterally adopted an ordinance renewing PacifiCorp’s franchise to provide the city with electricity without any agreement to terms by PacifiCorp.
