Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

SEATTLE (AP) – Russell Wilson hit Jermaine Kearse for a 35-yard touchdown 3:19 into overtime to lift the Seattle Seahawks to an improbable 28-22 victory over Green Bay in the NFC championship game. The Seahawks became the first defending champion to make the Super Bowl in 10 years.

UNDATED (AP) – For Russell Wilson’s Seattle Seahawks to become the first team in a decade to win consecutive Super Bowls, they’ll have to beat the most recent group to do it, Tom Brady’s New England Patriots. In an enticing matchup pitting the defending champions against the dominant NFL franchise of the 2000s, the NFC’s Seahawks (14-4) will face the AFC’s Patriots (14-4) in the title game at Glendale, Arizona, in two weeks.

UNDATED (AP) – Andrew Andrews scored a season-high 21 points and Nigel Williams-Goss added 20 to lead Washington to an 85-77 win against Oregon last night. Washington (13-4, 2-3 Pac-12) trailed by 10 points at halftime but the Huskies rallied in the second half for their second win in a row after losing four straight. Robert Upshaw had 13 points and 12 rebounds for Washington.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Tia Presley scored 29 points, Lia Galdeira added 22 and Washington State held on to beat Oregon 79-76 yesterday. The Cougars improve to 7-1 all-time and 3-0 this season when both Presley and Galdeira reach the 20-point mark. The Cougars played without senior guard Shalie Dheensaw, who suffered a right knee injury Jan. 16 and had started in 50-straight games.
