UNDATED (AP) – Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota (mar-ee-OH’-tah) says he’s giving up his senior year at Oregon to enter the NFL draft. The Ducks quarterback Mariota claimed every major post-season award on the way to leading Oregon to the college football championship game.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Jamal Crawford scored 25 points, DeAndre Jordan had 17 points and 18 rebounds and the Los Angeles Clippers rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Portland 100-94 last night. Crawford scored the go-ahead basket on a 3-pointer with 3:55 remaining as the Clippers (26-13) came back from a six-point deficit. It was Los Angeles’ second win over Portland (30-9) this season and ended the Trail Blazers’ four-game winning streak.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was limited in practice yesterday with a left calf injury as the Green Bay Packers prepare for Seattle in the NFC title game. Rodgers says he was able to do a little more than last week, when he missed the first day of practice preparing for the Dallas Cowboys.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner will stay with the Ducks for his senior year. In a statement posted on the team’s website, Buckner said he wanted to finish his degree. He also believes that another year of experience will help his development for the pros. Buckner has started 23 straight games. He had 81 total tackles and a team-high 13 tackles for loss this season.

SEATTLE (AP) – The Seattle Mariners have acquired left-handed pitcher Mike Kickham from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for minor-league pitcher Lars Huijer. Seattle designated for assignment Anthony Fernandez to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old Kickham spent his entire career in the San Francisco Giants organization before being claimed off waivers by Chicago in late December.
