Paucity of Players Pauses Progress for Sailors
No basketball for the Mapleton Sailors last night. A shortage of players prompted cancellation last night of the scheduled Sailor game against Eddyville. The game will go in the books as a forfeit. Mapleton is scheduled to face Mohawk Friday.
Nick Lutz Wrestling Invitational Set
Preparations are underway for this Saturday’s Nick Lutz Wrestling Invitational at Siuslaw High School. Wrestlers from 16 schools will converge on Florence for a full day of prep wrestling. The first matches will start at nine. Finals will begin shortly after four pm.
