PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 points and 12 rebounds, and the Portland Trail Blazers used a big third quarter to beat the Miami Heat 99-83 last night. Aldridge scored 10 points in the third, when the Blazers (28-8) outscored the Heat 33-16 to take control of the game.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Kevin Pangos scored 17 points, Przemek Karnowski added 16 and No. 6 Gonzaga beat San Francisco 88-57 last night for its eighth straight victory. Kyle Wiltjer had 15 points for the Bulldogs (15-1, 4-0 West Coast), whose only loss was at No. 7 Arizona. Kruize Pinkins scored 20 for San Francisco (7-10, 1-4), which has dropped four straight. Devin Watson added 11 points.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Malcolm Duvivier had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists to lead Oregon State past Arizona State 55-47 yesterday. Gary Payton II added 12 points and Victor Robbins scored 10 points for the Beavers (10-4, 1-1 Pac-12). Eric Jacobsen had 11 points and seven rebounds and Shaquielle McKissic had 11 points for Arizona State (8-7, 0-2).

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Alec Wintering scored 26 points on 8-for-13 shooting and sank all nine of his shots from the free throw line to lead Portland to a 78-61 win over Santa Clara last night. Gabe Taylor and Jason Todd added 12 points apiece for Portland (11-5, 2-2 West Coast), which shot 53 percent from the floor on 47 attempts and held a 34-17 rebounding advantage. Thomas van der Mars hauled in 12 rebounds with eight points.
