Athlete of the Week a double winner
Siuslaw wrestling standout Isaiah Burkhalter is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The junior grappler captured weight class championships at 138 pounds in two different invitational tournaments. Burkhalter won his class at the 17-team Willamette Invitational December 27th; then at the 15-team Riddle Invitational January 3rd.
Honorable mention is given to fellow Viking Grappler Jose DelaMora who won the 120-pound title at the Riddle Invitational.
Sailor Basketball on the Air
On the schedule tonight, the Mapleton Sailors are in Siletz where they’ll take on the Warriors at seven for Mountain West Boys’ Basketball. The game will air on Coast Radio Sports, 106.9 FM. Airtime at 6:45.
