PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A Canadian energy company’s plan to build a $500 million propane export terminal at the Port of Portland has hit a snag. The Oregonian says the zoning code on the land near the confluence of the Columbia and Willamette rivers doesn’t allow the pipeline. Portland’s planning and sustainability commission is considering a proposal to make changes next month.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The National Weather Service says a winter storm is coming to Portland and northwest Oregon. The Oregonian reports that forecasters expect high winds, snow in the mountains and bitter cold in a winter snap that’s expected to last through New Year’s Day.

PORLAND, Ore. (AP) – The Skibowl resort on Mount Hood has opened one chairlift for skiing in celebration of the snow that piled up in the Cascades this weekend. Last winter, the lowest elevation ski resort of Mount Hood’s big three had to wait until Jan. 25 to open its first chairlift for skiing.

CHILOQUIN, Ore. (AP) – Police in Klamath County have arrested a woman in connection with a stabbing in Chiloquin on Friday night. Authorities say one victim was treated at a hospital and released and another is in critical condition after attacks that were sparked by a domestic dispute.
