GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Russell Wilson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, Seattle set a franchise record with 596 yards of offense, and the Seahawks closed in on another NFC West title with a 35-6 romp over the Arizona Cardinals last night. Seattle moved into a tie with Arizona for first in the NFC West, and the Seahawks hold the tiebreaker with two wins over the Cardinals.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Josh Hawkinson scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds yesterday as Washington State defeated short-handed San Jose State 82-53. Hawkinson made 12 of 17 field goals. San Jose State only suited seven players. On Dec. 13, coach Dave Wojcik suspended five players for violating team rules.

SEATTLE (AP) – Jarell Flora scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, both career highs, to lead Seattle to a 66-47 win over Sacramento State last night. Flora made 10 of 18 field goals, including 5 of 10 from 3-point range. Isiah Umipig added 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including five 3’s of his own, and Jack Crook had nine points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) – Zaid Hearst scored 24 points to lead Quinnipiac to a 60-52 win over Oregon State yesterday. Hearst did not score in the second half until he hit four straight free throws in the final 20 seconds to help hold off Oregon State. Olaf Schaftenaar led Oregon State with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Oregon State shot 44 percent in the second half, after 35.7 in the first.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) – Gabriella Hanson scored 16 points to lead the No. 16 Oregon State women to a 73-50 win Saturday night over Nevada. Samantha Siegner contributed 15 points while Jaime Weisner and Sydney Wiese added nine apiece for Oregon State, which shot 44.4 percent from the floor and sank 8 of 18 from 3-point range.
