PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Uber’s car-hailing service is on hold in Portland as the company tries to work out a dispute with the city. PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Federal prosecutors are cracking down on people who extract hash oil from marijuana, a process that caused two separate explosions in the past month. The U.S. Attorney’s office has filed charges against three men, two in a Nov. 23 blast in Tigard and one person in a Dec. 8 explosion at a Portland apartment building.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A vacant lot near the west end of Portland’s Hawthorne Bridge is the preferred site for Multnomah County’s new courthouse. The Oregonian reports it was the unanimous choice of commissioners. They say it’s the least-expensive alternative and the closest to the county’s justice center. A new courthouse is expected to cost about $250 million.
