SEATTLE (AP) – Marshawn Lynch rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown, Russell Wilson threw a touchdown pass to rookie Paul Richardson, and the Seattle Seahawks knocked archrival San Francisco from playoff contention 17-7 yesterday. The defending Super Bowl champions remained in contention for a division title and No. 1 seed in the NFC. Seattle awoke in the final 30 minutes and shut out the 49ers.

SEATTLE (AP) – Seattle left tackle Russell Okung suffered a chest injury in the final play of the first half that knocked him out of the game. The 49ers also lost middle linebacker Chris Borland to an ankle injury on the same play. Okung sustained a chest-wall bruise and was taken to a hospital for further evaluation and released. Seattle’s only other injury was tight end Tony Moeaki with a shoulder injury.

SEATTLE (AP) – Nigel Williams-Goss and Darin Johnson hit 3-pointers in the final 1:16 to cap a big comeback and No. 17 Washington beat Eastern Washington 81-77 last night. Robert Upshaw led Washington with a career-high 21 points and added nine rebounds and six blocks. Eastern Washington led by double-digits with about 11 minutes to play when Washington started to rally.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Thomas van der Mars shot 9 of 10 from the field to score 20 points and Portland led wire-to-wire to hold off Sacramento State 80-75 last night. Bobby Sharp scored 16 points for the Pilots, including four straight free throws in the final nine seconds after the Hornets cut the lead to one, 76-75.
