Siuslaw falls to Newport in pair of non-league games
Joe Dotson scored 12 of his 16 points from outside the arc last night, but the Vikings fell short in Newport, 52-33 to the Cubs. Newport’s Brendan Thurber-Blaser led all scorers with 20 points, ten of those from the free throw line where he was ten-for-12.
In Florence, the Lady Vikings fell to Newport 55-35.
Both Viking teams will be on the court tomorrow afternoon at the Junction City Invitational where they’ll face the Stayton Eagles.

Mapleton is on the court at home tonight where they’ll take on Triangle Lake at six.
