PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – LaMarcus Aldridge had 26 points and 15 rebounds to pace the Portland Trail Blazers in a 107-93 victory last night over the shorthanded Minnesota Timberwolves. Wesley Matthews added 23 points, including six 3-pointers for his third straight game with at least five 3-pointers, and the Blazers led by as many as 16 points. Portland was coming off a 112-99 loss to Memphis on Friday night that snapped a nine-game winning streak.

SEATTLE (AP) – Clint Dempsey had a goal and assist in the first half to give Seattle the lead, but Juninho’s tiebreaking road goal early in the second half sent the Los Angeles Galaxy to the MLS Cup final after their Western Conference final yesterday with the Seattle Sounders ended 2-2 on aggregate. Road goals were used as a tiebreaker in the MLS Cup playoffs for the first time this season.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Jalil Abdul-Bassit scored all 19 of his points in the first half as Oregon roared away early to an 81-59 victory over Portland State last night. Joseph Young also had 19 points for the Ducks. DaShaun Wiggins led the Vikings with 15 points off the bench, and Bryce White and Braxton Tucker both added 10.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Washington State has fired defensive coordinator Mike Breske and outside linebackers coach Paul Volero after the Cougars finished 3-9. The school confirmed both coaches had been let go by coach Mike Leach last night. Fox Sports first reported the firings. The Cougars finished 10th in the Pac-12 in scoring defense.
