HOUSTON (AP) – Washington’s Hau’oli Kikaha is among four finalists for the Lombardi Award for college football’s best lineman or linebacker. Kikaha, who is a linebacker, is tied for first in the country with 16 ½ sacks and his 22 ½ tackles for losses leads the nation. The award will be given Dec. 10.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday says he broke his leg against Southern California, not his ankle as was widely reported. Halliday, the nation’s passing leader, Halliday says doctors predict he will be running in three months and should be fully recovered in about five months. He plans to try out for the National Football League, which has long been his dream.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – Facing a dilemma at the center position following an injury to Max Unger last week, the Seattle Seahawks were fortunate that former backup Lemuel Jeanpierre was still available as a free agent. The Seahawks re-signed Jeanpierre to provide depth at center following a high-ankle sprain suffered by Unger last week against the Kansas City Chiefs.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) – Arizona’s eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald says his injured left knee is “a little better” and that he is optimistic that he will be able to play when the Cardinals face the Seahawks in Seattle on Sunday.
