PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Bryce White had 19 points and five assists as Portland State knocked off Division III Willamette 84-63 last night. Willamette stayed close early, trailing only 17-13 midway in the first half, but then the Vikings found the range, going on a 23-4 run for a 40-17 lead with 3:38 remaining before the break. They led 48-27 at the half.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Gary Payton II had 16 points, nine rebounds and three blocks as Oregon State beat Corban 86-62 last night. Langston Morris-Walker added 16 points and had five rebounds for the Beavers (2-0), who had five players score in double figures. The game was an exhibition for Corban, an NAIA school, but counted toward Oregon State’s record.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Shaniqua Nilles scored a career-high 18 points off the bench, Sunny Greinacher added 15 and No. 24 Gonzaga dominated the second half in an 88-63 win over Idaho State last night. The Bulldogs (2-0), who have won 28-straight regular-season home games, made a school record 37 free throws on 48 as the Bengals had 37 fouls with four players fouling out.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum fractured his right index finger during Monday night’s victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Blazers did not say when McCollum was expected to return, but he will be reevaluated in four weeks. McCollum broke his finger when he grabbed an offensive rebound and was fouled by Eric Gordon in the fourth quarter.
