BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) – Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue says flames from a detached garage spread to a building and damaged six townhomes in Beaverton. Neighbors reported smoke and flames before 11 last night at the Oak Hills town houses. Everyone evacuated safely, while some damaged garage units partially collapsed.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) – A suspect in the robbery of a Klamath Falls business is dead after an exchange of gunfire with law officers. The Klamath County District Attorney’s office says the shooting occurred after the Frontier Market was robbed yesterday. The dead suspect is identified as Lenny Miles, who has warrants out for his arrest that involved four separate cases, including assault, escape and meth possession.

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) – Police say a Linfield College student was stabbed to death Saturday in a convenience store near campus, and police shot and killed the suspect when he returned to the scene. The college identified the victim as Parker Moore of Woodinville, Washington. Yamhill County Sheriff’s deputies say that while investigators were at the scene, the suspect returned, brandished a knife and confronted officers, who shot him.

SEATTLE (AP) – Cold, dry weather will continue for a couple more days in the Northwest, but forecasters say precipitation should return by midweek. Clouds are expected to move back Wednesday with a chance of rain, snow of freezing rain depending on the local conditions.
