Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Damian Lillard had 29 points and the Trail Blazers trailed by as many as 23 points in the first half before rallying in the fourth quarter to beat the Charlotte Hornets 102-100 last night. LaMarcus Aldridge added 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Blazers, who have won four of their last five games and improved to 5-1 at the Moda Center.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – Defensive tackle Brandon Mebane will miss the rest of the season for the Seattle Seahawks after being placed on injured reserve following a hamstring injury in a win over the New York Giants. Mebane was hurt during the first half of Seattle’s 38-17 win. Mebane’s loss is a blow to Seattle’s run defense, which ranks fourth in the league at 79.8 yards per game.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Washington State quarterback Luke Falk isn’t Connor Halliday but he did a pretty fair imitation in his first career start. Falk threw for 471 yards and five touchdowns without an interception as the Cougars beat Oregon State 39-32 on Saturday, earning the former walk-on Pac-12 offensive player of the week honors and providing a bright spot for Washington State.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Complaints about public prayer have caused the Alaska School Activities Association to move the state small schools wrestling championship from a private, religious school to a new venue. The Alaska Dispatch News reports the association after a complaint asked officials at Anchorage Christian Schools to stop their practice of including a public prayer before the event. Church officials declined.
