The Siuslaw Vikings struck first Saturday afternoon in Klamath Falls and played strong against the number three team in the state, but the Mazama Vikings eventually wore down Siuslaw for a 42-12 OSAA playoff victory.

Siuslaw’s first touchdown, a six yard toss from Joe Dotson to Scott Gordon, was set up when tailback Kenneth Thrall took a pitch from Dotson, then launched an 82 yard pass to Gordon to give Siuslaw first and goal on the 8-yard line.

Dotson was 8-for-18 on the day with 130 yards, two touchdown passes and one interception… only his fourth of the season.

Scott Gordon caught 3 passes for 108 yards and one touchdown. Preston Mitchell had four catches for 36 yards and one touchdown.

Oregon State falls for fourth straight

Washington State snapped a four-game losing streak with a 39-32 victory over Oregon State in Corvallis Saturday afternoon. The loss means the Beavers are on their own four-game losing streak now. Things won’t get any easier as the Beavers host number seven Arizona State Saturday night in Corvallis.

Ducks Dominate Utes

The Oregon Ducks moved up to number three in the rankings after dominating Utah 51-27 in Salt Lake City. Marcus Mariota ran for 114 yards and one touchdown; plus threw 17 completions on 29 attempts for 239 yards and three TD passes.
