MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. (AP) – Douglas County sheriff’s deputies say a 20-year-old woman has been fatally shot by her father while the two were hunting in southern Oregon. Neither the woman nor her father was immediately identified.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a married couple found dead in an east Portland home are homicide victims. Detectives say the victims are both 65 years old and have been long-time residents of the neighborhood. They were not identified last night pending notification of relatives. Police say they have no information to provide on a possible suspect.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Studded tires are legal again starting tomorrow on roadways in Oregon and Washington. Both states allow studs from Nov. 1 through March 31, although most transportation officials would prefer drivers to use all-weather tires or chains when it snows.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – The Oregon secretary of state’s office says today is the last day for residents to put their ballots in the mail if they want them to arrive in time for Tuesday’s election.
