Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

ST. LOUIS (AP) – Punter Johnny Hekker’s pass from the St. Louis 18 caught the Seattle Seahawks by surprise for the last of three big plays by Rams special teams in a 28-26 victory over the defending Super Bowl champions yesterday. Russell Wilson rushed for 106 yards on seven carries and passed for two touchdowns while going 23 for 36 for 313 yards. The Seahawks dominated statistically, outgaining the Rams 463-272.

CARSON, Calif. (AP) – Clint Dempsey and Lamar Neagle scored in the second half, rallying the Seattle Sounders to a 2-2 tie with the LA Galaxy last night. Baggio Husidic and Marcelo Sarvas scored for the Galaxy, but the Sounders’ comeback means the Supporters’ Shield will be awarded after Saturday’s season finale between the clubs in Seattle.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – While Oregon’s coaches believe something has clicked for Royce Freeman in the past two games, the Ducks’ true freshman running back considers his recent success more a natural progression. Freeman ran for 169 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday night as No. 9 Oregon extended its winning streak over Washington to 11 games with a 45-20 victory.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) – Mason Raymond had a goal and two assists, and the Calgary Flames beat Winnipeg 4-1 yesterday to hand the Jets their fourth straight loss. Dennis Wideman, Johnny Gaudreau and Raymond scored against Ondrej Pavelec in a span of 6 minutes, 42 seconds, during the second period as Calgary finished a six-game road trip with its fourth win away from home.
