CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Devontae Booker ran 19 yards for a touchdown in the second overtime to give No. 20 Utah a 29-23 victory over Oregon State last night. Booker also ran for a 15-yard score in the first overtime to put the Utes in front 23-16. The Beavers (4-2, 1-2) answered with Sean Mannion’s 2-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Villamin on fourth down to force another period. Trevor Romaine attempted a 37-yard field goal that went wide right, giving the ball back to Utah for the game-winning drive.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Travis Ishikawa hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning, sending the San Francisco Giants to the World Series with a 6-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals last night. These every-other-year Giants clinched the NL Championship Series in Game 5 and now will face the Royals in an all wild-card Fall Classic that begins Tuesday night in Kansas City.

UNDATED (AP) – The Vancouver Canucks head to Rexall Place to face off against the Edmonton Oilers. The Canucks are coming off a win over the Oilers on Saturday night. Chris Higgins scored the only goal of the shootout that night.

UNDATED (AP) – The Portland Timbers host Real Salt Lake tonight at Providence Park. The Timbers are coming off a 3-0 win against the San Jose Earthquakes. Portland will play host to RSL having lost just three times on their home ground.
