PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Officials with Oregon’s health insurance exchange say thousands of Oregonians could owe money to the federal government because they were given tax credits that were too large. According to Cover Oregon’s analysis, more than 12,700 tax-paying households are affected. The average error is $8.41 per month.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – The Oregon Republican Party and a GOP state lawmaker have filed complaints with a state ethics panel over the role Gov. John Kitzhaber’s fiancee has played in his administration. Kitzhaber’s finacee, Cylvia Hayes, has played an active role in his administration while continuing her outside consulting business. Kitzhaber has maintained that Hayes did nothing wrong.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a 43-year-old man was stabbed and wandered bleeding through a downtown Portland park before dying on a sidewalk near City Hall. Police say Marc Sundin died from a stab wound to the chest and they have not identified a suspect. Officers tell The Oregonian that given the time and location, they suspect the stabbing involved people living on the streets.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – An FBI spokeswoman says law enforcement officers believe the same man robbed two Willamette Valley bank branches yesterday – one in Salem and one in Eugene.
