Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – The big mystery for tonight’s game between No. 20 Utah and Oregon State is who the Utes will start at quarterback. The depth chart lists Travis Wilson or Kendal Thompson, and earlier this week coach Kyle Whittingham wasn’t giving away his choice. Oregon State coach Mike Riley said his only option was to prepare for both of them.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – Seattle wide receiver Doug Baldwin says his heated postgame comments following the Seahawks’ loss to Dallas were understood by his teammates and he felt it needed to be said. Baldwin said the Seahawks “played like crap,” in their win over Washington and were bailed out by Russell Wilson’s performance.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said any player trying to make the transition from rugby to the NFL is in for a difficult challenge. Australian National Rugby League star Jarryd Hayne announced his plans to seek a chance in the NFL. Seattle has been linked to Hayne because of a recent visit to the Pacific Northwest during which Hayne took in the University of Washington and took a tour of the Seahawks facility. Hayne did not identify which NFL clubs – if any – were interested in offering him a tryout.

NEW YORK (AP) – The Cowboys’ upset of the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks drew a huge television audience. Fox’s national broadcast window Sunday, in which most viewers saw the Dallas-Seattle game, averaged a 17.4 rating and 32 share. The 30 million viewers were the most for any program since the Academy Awards in March.
