Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

SEATTLE (AP) – Chris Petersen knows about the rivalry between Oregon and Washington and how one-sided it can be. At his introductory news conference last December, Petersen was asked if he was going to be able to end the Huskies’ drought against the Ducks. His first chance at doing so comes Saturday when Washington (5-1, 1-1 Pac-12) travels to No. 9 Oregon. The Huskies’ last win over the Ducks came in 2003.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – On top of questions about what they’re trying to accomplish on offense, the Seattle Seahawks were left dealing with a list of injuries after losing to Dallas. Cornerback Byron Maxwell suffered a calf strain, while middle linebacker Bobby Wagner is dealing with turf toe that knocked him out for most of the second quarter. Seattle coach Pete Carroll said the status of both for Sunday’s game is unknown.

NEW YORK (AP) – The key NFC matchup between the Seahawks and Panthers will air on CBS as part of the NFL’s new “cross-flexing.” The league says that the Oct. 26 game at Carolina will be on CBS instead of Fox, which owns the NFC package. The policy change in the current TV rights agreement aims to gain bigger audiences for appealing games. CBS owns the AFC package.

ST. LOUIS (AP) – Colin Kaepernick threw for 343 yards and three touchdowns, helping the San Francisco 49ers erase an early 14-point deficit and beat the St. Louis Rams 31-17 last night. Brandon Lloyd, Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree each caught a scoring pass for the 49ers (4-2), who have won three in a row.
