Athlete of the Week leads 4A Girls
Viking Cross Country standout Celie Mans is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The sophomore continues to outpace all other girls in the 4A ranks; most recently winning the Paul Mariman Invitational in Philomath. Mans’ matched her season best time of 19-minutes, 42-seconds, finishing 26 seconds ahead of her closest competitor. Her efforts also helped propel Siuslaw to a second place team trophy, just one point behind Molalla.
Honorable mention is given to her teammate Courtney King. She finished tenth individually in the same meet with a time of 21-minutes, 39-seconds.
Prep Volleyball Schedule
On the schedule this evening… prep volleyball. Siuslaw will host South Umpqua; Mapleton is on the road to Eddyville.
