KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) – A federal water agency is increasing flows in the Klamath River to fight a parasite attacking salmon. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation says the 75 percent increase in releases from PacifiCorp’s Iron Gate Dam near Hornbrook, California, started Saturday and will run 10 days.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A 16-year-old homeless girl has been banned from Portland streetcars for 90 days for bringing aboard a pit bull that killed another dog. The Oregonian reports the girl hasn’t been named. The pit bull is at an animal shelter for evaluation and a decision about whether it can be adopted or placed with a pit bull rescue group.

BONNEVILLE, Ore. (AP) – A volunteer team has rescued a dog that fell off a 200-foot cliff in the Columbia River Gorge. The dog’s owner says her young Labradoodle named Gracie was part of a large hiking group on Sunday. The Oregon Humane Society’s volunteer technical rescue team responded. The dog suffered only scratches and bruises in her fall off a steep trail near Punchbowl Falls.

OKANOGAN, Wash. (AP) – The Okanogan County sheriff’s office says two 16-year-olds sought in the death of a man whose body was found Sunday evening have been located south of Eugene. Authorities say they had the teens in custody in connection with the stolen pickup truck they were driving. The truck was reported missing from the homicide scene at the Riverside home of 39-year-old Patrick Alltus.
