The Viking defense held strong against the number two North Bend Bulldogs, making several stops early, and scoring first on a Billy Jones 35-yard fumble return for a touchdown; but ultimately the Bulldogs were able to grind out a 34-21 victory in Florence.  It was Siuslaw’s second straight loss for only the first time since 2009.

Elsewhere in the Far West, South Umpqua beat Brookings-Harbor 48-22; Marshfield demolished Douglas 46-nothing.
