The suspects were found below the bridge and arrested.

ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) – A man who was under the influence of drugs when his car crossed the centerline of U.S. 101 has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the deaths of two people in the resulting crash. The Daily Astorian reports the car driven by Sterling Frinell collided head-on in Warrenton last year with a Volkswagen Beetle. Two Seaside residents on their way to church choir practice died.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A former business executive in Portland has been sentenced to four years in prison for wire fraud and ordered to pay more than $1.4 million in restitution to his old company, DAT Solutions. Prosecutors say David Schrader submitted bogus expense reports. A former company president testified that due to the recession and Schrader’s theft, DAT was forced to lay off multiple employees and adjust the salaries of others, many in Oregon.

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – The sheriff of southern Oregon’s Jackson County says he wants to retire at the end of his term, which is the end of this year.
