Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Last season Arizona went after Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota early and kept on hassling him. Expect the same when the Wildcats visit the No. 2 Ducks tonight at Autzen Stadium. The 42-16 rout last November was Arizona’s first over a top-five team since knocking off No. 2 Oregon in 2007. Mariota wore a brace on his knee in that game and later it was revealed that he had partially torn his medial collateral ligament in a game four weeks before.

UNDATED (AP) – Oregon State heads to Folsom Field to face Colorado on Saturday afternoon. The Beavers hope to get their first Pacific-12 Conference win after losing to USC last week 10-35. Colorado also struggled last week and fell to California 56-59.

UNDATED (AP) – The Vancouver Canucks travel to Edmonton to face off against the Oilers tonight. The Canucks are coming off a loss Monday night. The Arizona Coyotes defeated the Canucks 4-2.

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Madison Bumgarner pitched a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts and Brandon Crawford hit the first grand slam by a shortstop in postseason history as the San Francisco Giants routed the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-0 last night in the National League wild-card game. San Francisco will face NL East champion Washington in the NL Division Series tomorrow. Crawford’s shot over the right-field wall in the fourth inning off Edinson Volquez put the Giants ahead. Bumgarner did the rest as San Francisco won its eighth consecutive postseason game and seventh in a row when facing elimination.
