SALEM, Ore. (AP) – After rejecting a recent debate invitation, Republican Senate candidate Monica Wehby says she’ll attend three upcoming debates. A spokeswoman for Democratic Sen. Jeff Merkley says his campaign will review the campaign schedule before deciding whether to participate. The candidates have so far agreed to just one debate.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – A 29-year-old man who robbed an armored truck courier at a Keizer ATM has been sentenced to 17 years in prison. Anthony Sam White of Salem pleaded guilty. The Register-Guard reports he was arrested four days after the March 18 robbery when he was shot during an attempted armored truck robbery in Eugene.

SCAPPOOSE, Ore. (AP) — One person has been found dead at a mobile home fire in Scappoose. Firefighters arrived about 2 a.m. and found the trailer smoking. The person was dead inside. Firefighters told KOIN the person may have started the fire. The Columbia County sheriff’s office is investigating.

NEW YORK (AP) – The parent companies of the Supervalu and Albertsons supermarkets say they have uncovered another breach of their computer networks, potentially compromising data from consumers. The companies say that in late August or early September, malicious software was installed on networks that process credit and debit card transactions at some of their stores.
