SEATTLE (AP) – Marshawn Lynch scored on a 6-yard TD run on the first possession of overtime and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos 26-20 yesterday. Seattle blew a 17-3 fourth-quarter lead, watching Denver tie the game at 20 on Peyton Manning’s 26-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Tamme with 18 seconds left in regulation and his 2-point conversion pass to Demaryius Thomas. But Manning never saw the ball in overtime.

HOUSTON (AP) – Seattle’s playoff hopes took another hit, as Jake Marisnick had a three-run homer for the second straight game and Alex Presley drove in two runs to lead the Houston Astros to an 8-3 win over the Mariners yesterday. Houston took two of three from the Mariners, who entered the day half a game back for the second AL wild card.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) – Ryan Rua hit his first major league homer, connecting off Huston Street in the ninth inning as the Texas Rangers beat the playoff-bound Los Angeles Angels 2-1 yesterday for their eighth win in nine games. Tomas Telis had a bases-loaded infield single for the big league-worst Rangers. The AL West champion Angels have lost five of eight, but still lead Baltimore by 2 1/2 games for home-field advantage throughout the postseason.
