Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
Siuslaw Football standout Joseph Dotson is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The senior quarterback threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Scott Gordon, as well as sprinted 49 yards for the go-ahead touchdown in last week’s non-league victory over Scio. Dotson also completed 10-of-16 passes for 102 yards and ran the ball six times for 54 yards.
Honorable mention is given to Sophomore distance runner Celie Mans. She won the season opening Tugman Invitational, then followed it up with a second place finish at the Highland Tree Farm in Molalla. Mans is the top ranked runner in the girls 4A ranks this week.
On the schedule…
Siuslaw Volleyball will host Creswell this evening for a non-league matchup at six. The Mapleton Sailors will host Mohawk, also at six, for Mountain West League play.
