Running Back Named Athlete of the Week
Viking football standout Christian Jakobsen is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The Senior running back carried the ball five times for 102 yards and three touchdowns in Siuslaw’s season opening win over Newport.
Honorable Mention:
Outside hitter Hannaleah Jakobsen who led Siuslaw with 21 kills at the Reedsport Volleyball Invitational.
On the schedule today:
Viking Volleyball will be at Harrisburg High School for nonleague matches against the Eagles as well as Oakland. Mapleton is at home against Alsea for Mountain West League action.
