The Hillsboro Hops ended the Eugene Ems season with a four game losing streak, downing Eugene 7-3 last night. The Emeralds ended the second half of the Northwest League season in the cellar of the South Division with a 15-and-23 record. They were 31-and-45 overall.

Prep volleyball gets underway tonight at Mapleton High School as the Sailors host Triangle Lake at six. The Viking girls hit the court for the first time under new head coach Angie Herring tomorrow afternoon when they host Elmira.
