The Oregonian reports that Boyle’s $100 million brings the university $70 million closer to triggering Phil and Penny Knight’s matching $500 million donation that the Nike co-founder promised a year ago. The Knight Cancer Challenge is intended to make the university’s Knight Cancer Institute among the top cancer research facilities in the country.
