Ems Take a Pounding in the Northwest League
The Hawks scored 11 runs on 15 hits and outpaced the Eugene Emeralds for the second night in a row for an 11-6 Northwest League victory in Boise last night. Boise first baseman Danny Canela was three-for-three at the plate with four RBI… three of those on a round-tripper in the third inning.
The Emeralds close out a six-game road trip this evening in Boise before heading home tomorrow.
Prepping for Prep Sports
Student athletes participating in fall sports at Siuslaw High School are required to provide several vital pieces of information before they can take to the practice field.
Proof of a sports physical; insurance and concussion “baseline” tests are all required. Fall athletes will also have to undergo drug testing this year; as well as provide parental or guardian permission slips.
Practices for football, volleyball and cross country get underway Monday.
