Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
The Eugene Emeralds wrapped up the weekend and a five game series against the Everett Aqua Sox with two wins to take the series headed into the Northwest League All State Break.
The Sox won Friday night three-nothing, but the Ems bounced back Saturday for a 7-6 victory.
Yesterday’s rubber match wasn’t decided itself until late in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded and two outs. That’s when Edwin Moreno came to the plate and delivered a pinch-hit walk off single and another 7-6 win.
The entire Northwest League will be off today, then tomorrow the league’s all stars will converge on PK Park in Eugene. The Emeralds lend five position players and two pitchers to the South Division Squad.
