Sandblaster season comes to an end.
On a hot streak entering the regional playoffs, the Three Rivers Sandblasters looked good Friday evening, downing the Doc Stewarts in Roseburg 8-5.
A 5-2 Saturday afternoon loss to the Canyon Crushers bumped the ‘Blasters to the losers bracket, where they fell to the Doc Stewarts 8-6, ending their season with a 12-17-and-1 overall record. The Sandblasters finished fourth place in the six-team American Legion Zone Three.

The Tri-City Dust Devils put up 14 hits and capitalized on three Emeralds errors, handing Eugene a 14-7 loss Friday night at PK Park.
Saturday night, the Emeralds answered with a 5-2 win over the Devils, taking the five game series 3-games-to-2.
The Emeralds began a new series yesterday, this one in Keizer, where the Volcanoes came out on top 9-1.
