SEATTLE (AP) – Wie-Yen Chen allowed five hits over eight innings and Delmon Young hit a three-run homer to give the Baltimore Orioles a 4-0 victory over the Seattle Mariners last night. The Mariners have been shut out 12 times, tying Tampa Bay for the most in the American League.

SEATTLE (AP) – Tina Charles broke a tie on a put-back with 23 seconds left in the New York Liberty’s 84-80 overtime time victory over the Seattle Storm last night. Camille Little scored 22 points, and Crystal Langhorne added 17 for Seattle (9-17). They Storm have lost four in a row and five of their last six.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – Marshawn Lynch is not expected to be present for the first day of the Seattle Seahawks’ training camp according to close friend and former teammate Michael Robinson. At dispute is Lynch’s contract. Lynch can make up to $5.5 million this season in base pay and roster bonuses. It’s the third year of a four-year contract Lynch signed with Seattle before the 2012 season.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Washington quarterback Cyler Miles has been suspended for the Huskies’ season opener against Hawaii. Coach Chris Petersen announced the decision at Pac-12 media days yesterday. Miles will miss the Aug. 30 game for his role in two on-campus assaults following the Seattle Seahawks’ win over the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl.
