Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
The Eugene Emeralds wrapped up a three game series against Salem-Keizer Saturday night with a 2-1 win. That was after losing to the Volcanoes Friday night 5-4.
The Ems then opened up a five game series at home against Spokane yesterday with a 4-2 victory.
The game highlighted the return to action of 2011 first round draft pick Corey Spangenberg. The Padres’ 2nd baseman suffered a concussion in April and has not played for two months.
He played in centerfield last night, his first time at that position. He was two-for-four at the plate with one RBI.
Eugene and Spokane play through Thursday at PK Park in Eugene.
